The 60-Day Goal
0–10 MIN · NO BS

60 days. That's the target. Not a wish — a deadline you're managing toward.

  • Most people treat job searching like a hobby.
Apply to 3 things, wait 2 weeks, feel demoralised, repeat. That's hoping, not searching. Average passive seeker: 5–6 months.
  • The ones who land fast treat it like a job.
Hours. Targets. They track everything daily. They don't wait for motivation — they build a system that doesn't require it.
  • Claude is your unfair advantage.
Not magic. It removes every excuse: no writer's block, no blank cover letters, no 'I'll do it tomorrow.' Just output, every day.

Accountability & Daily Standups
10–20 MIN

If you don't track it, it didn't happen. Claude becomes your daily check-in partner — no sugarcoating, no pep talks, just honest signal on whether you're moving.

PROMPT 01 — DAILY MORNING STANDUP
Good morning. I'm in day [X] of my 60-day job search. Yesterday I [what you actually did — be specific]. Today I plan to [your concrete plan]. I'm feeling [confident / stuck / avoidant]. Is my plan enough to stay on track? What am I avoiding? Give me one specific thing to do in the first 30 minutes.
PROMPT 02 — WEEKLY ACCOUNTABILITY REVIEW
Here's my week: applied to [N] roles, had [N] conversations, completed [N] mock interviews, did [N] follow-ups. Compared to last week I am [better/worse/same] and here's why: [your honest take]. Am I on track to land within 60 days? What one thing do I need to change?
PROMPT 03 — WHEN YOU'RE LOSING MOMENTUM
I haven't applied to anything in [X] days. I feel [stuck / demotivated / overwhelmed / scared]. Don't give me a pep talk. Give me one specific, concrete thing I can do in the next 30 minutes — small enough that I'll actually do it right now.

Why this works

  • You can't lie to Claude — it only knows what you tell it
  • Writing it down makes avoidance visible to yourself
  • It asks the question your friends are too nice to ask
  • No appointment, no judgment — available at 6am
  • Patterns emerge over days — Claude spots them before you do
  • It never gets tired of asking 'did you actually do it?'
NON-NEGOTIABLE: Every application goes into the tracker the day you submit it. Not tomorrow. That day.
02
CV Overhaul
20–35 MIN

Your CV is not a biography. It's a sales document. Paste your actual CV text — Claude can't see uploaded files unless you paste the content.

PROMPT 04 — DIAGNOSE YOUR CV
I'm going to paste my CV. Review it: (1) clarity and impact of my bullet points, (2) clichés or weak language to cut, (3) what's missing that a hiring manager wants to see, (4) how it would do with ATS. Be direct — don't soften it.

[paste your full CV]
PROMPT 05 — REWRITE BULLET POINTS
Take these bullet points and rewrite them. Format: strong action verb → what I did → result or scale. Max 1–2 lines. No passive language, no vague adjectives, no committee-speak.

[paste 3–5 of your weakest bullets]
PROMPT 06 — TAILOR CV FOR A ROLE
Here is my CV: [paste]. Here is a job description: [paste]. Suggest specific edits to match this role — mirror their keywords, highlight relevant experience, flag any gaps for my cover letter. Don't rewrite everything — just tell me what to change and why.

CV golden rules

  • One page if under 10 years' experience — two pages max for senior roles
  • Every bullet needs a result — not just 'responsible for X'
  • Mirror the JD language exactly — ATS does keyword matching
  • Numbers make bullets land — use ranges if no exact figures
  • Cut clichés immediately — 'Passionate', 'Results-driven', 'Synergy'
  • Tailor every single application — generic CVs go to the bottom

Live exercise — 5 min

Everyone picks their weakest CV bullet, pastes Prompt 05 into Claude, and shares one rewrite. Quick round of feedback from the group.

03
LinkedIn Profile
35–50 MIN

Your LinkedIn is working 24/7. Is it working for you? LinkedIn is a search engine and a first impression — your headline and About section do the heaviest lifting.

PROMPT 07 — MAGNETIC HEADLINE
I'm a [role] with [X years] in [industry]. My strengths are [2–3 skills]. I'm open to [target area]. Write 5 headline options — some keyword-rich for search, some human and story-driven. Max 200 characters. Don't start any with 'Passionate' or 'Experienced'.
PROMPT 08 — ABOUT SECTION
Write my LinkedIn About section. Open with a hook (not 'I am a...' — ever), cover what I do and what I'm known for, what drives me, what I'm looking for. First person, conversational, no jargon. Under 300 words.

[paste a paragraph about yourself in your own words]
PROMPT 09 — NETWORK OUTREACH
I want to reach out to a former colleague to let them know I'm job hunting and ask for a quick call. We worked at [company], I [relationship — e.g. was their direct report for 2 years]. Write a short, warm, non-needy message — 4–6 sentences. No 'hope this finds you well.'

LinkedIn quick wins

  • Update your headline today — first thing recruiters see, make every word count
  • Turn on Open to Work (private) — recruiters see it; your employer doesn't
  • Connect with 5 people per week — former colleagues, managers, people you respected
  • Engage before you ask — comment meaningfully before reaching out cold
  • Add skills from target JDs — ATS and recruiter search use these to find you

Live exercise — 5 min

Everyone uses Prompt 07 to generate 5 headlines. Pick your favourite, share it with the person next to you. Vote on which one you'd click on.

04
Cover Letters
50–60 MIN

One tailored letter beats ten generic ones. Every time. Give Claude the JD and your honest reason for wanting the role — it does the rest in minutes.

PROMPT 10 — COVER LETTER IN 10 MINUTES
Write a cover letter for this role. CV: [paste]. JD: [paste]. My honest reason for wanting it: [2–3 genuine sentences]. 3 paragraphs: why them, why me, what I'd bring. Don't use 'I am passionate about' or 'I would be a great fit.' Direct and specific.
PROMPT 11 — RESEARCH THE COMPANY FAST
I'm applying to [company] in [industry]. Summarise: business model, what they're known for, recent news, key competitors, and 2–3 smart questions I could reference to show I've done my homework. Flag anything you're uncertain about so I can verify it.
PROMPT 12 — ADDRESS A GAP OR RED FLAG
I'm applying for [role] but worried about: [gap / career change / less experience / difficult exit]. Help me frame this honestly and positively — in my cover letter or if asked in interview. Own it without making it the first thing they think about.

Cover letter formula

  • Para 1 — Why them: Specific and researched. Show you've done your homework.
  • Para 2 — Why you: Two concrete things you've done. Results, not descriptions.
  • Para 3 — What you'd bring: One clear sentence on the value you'd add.
  • Max 3 paragraphs: If they have to scroll, it's already too long.
  • Never use these words: Passionate. Excited. Great fit. Synergy. Dynamic.
  • Always read it out loud: If you wouldn't say it, don't write it.
05
Interview Prep
60–70 MIN

The interview is won before you walk in the room. Claude makes a surprisingly good interviewer — rehearse hard questions, get feedback on your answers, and stress-test your stories before you're in the room.

PROMPT 13 — FULL MOCK INTERVIEW
I have an interview for [role] at [company type]. Act as the interviewer. Ask one question at a time — classic opener, then behavioural, then role-specific. After each answer: what worked, what was vague or too long, what to add or cut. Start with your first question now.
PROMPT 14 — STRENGTHEN A STAR ANSWER
Here is my answer to '[question]': [paste answer]. Evaluate using STAR (Situation, Task, Action, Result). What's missing? Where am I being vague or spending too long on context? Give me a tightened version that lands the Result more clearly.
PROMPT 15 — SMART QUESTIONS TO ASK
I'm interviewing for [role] at [company]. Generate 8 thoughtful questions I could ask — strategic thinking about their challenges, how the team works day-to-day, and questions that help me evaluate if this role is right for me. Avoid anything answered on their website.

STAR framework

  • S — Situation: Set the scene briefly — 1–2 sentences max.
  • T — Task: What was your specific role or responsibility?
  • A — Action: What did YOU do? Use 'I', not 'we'. Be specific.
  • R — Result: Number, outcome, impact. This is what matters most.

Live exercise — 5 min

In pairs: one person pastes Prompt 13 and does a 2-minute live mock interview. The other watches Claude's feedback. Switch. Debrief: what surprised you?

06
Application Tracker
70–80 MIN

Track everything. Seriously. Every single one. People who track consistently take 2–3× less time to find a job — not because they apply more, but because they follow up more and learn from every rejection.

PROMPT 16 — AUDIT YOUR TRACKER WITH CLAUDE
Here's my application tracker: [paste]. Analyse it: (1) what's been in 'Applied' 10+ days with no follow-up, (2) any patterns in what I'm applying to or avoiding, (3) which have the most potential to push harder on, (4) what to deprioritise or close out.

Non-negotiable tracker rules

  • Log it the day you apply — not tomorrow
  • Update status within 24h of any response
  • Note every Claude prompt you used
  • Mark 'Ghosted' after 14 days — then move on
  • Review the full tracker every Monday morning
  • Never have more than 10 active applications at once
07
System & Momentum

PROMPT 17 — WEEKLY CHECK-IN
I'm in week [X] of my 60-day search. Here's where I am: [paste tracker summary]. Applied [N], interviews [N], heard nothing from [N]. Help: where to focus this week, what I'm neglecting, is my pace enough for 60 days, one thing to do differently.
PROMPT 18 — FOLLOW-UP AFTER INTERVIEW
I had an interview for [role] at [company]. Interviewer: [name]. We talked about [1–2 topics]. I felt [honest take]. Write a short, warm follow-up — not gushing, just genuine. Reference something specific from our conversation. Under 150 words.
PROMPT 19 — NEGOTIATE YOUR OFFER
I've received an offer. Salary offered: [X], I was expecting [Y]. Draft a response: genuine enthusiasm, specific counter-offer with brief justification, no burned goodwill. Tone: confident but collaborative.

You've got everything you need.

Job searching after an unexpected exit is genuinely hard. It's okay to not be at full speed every single day. What matters is that you have a system — so that on the days you are ready to move, there's no friction. Claude handles the writing, the research, the prep. You focus your energy on the human parts: the conversations, the relationships, and showing up well in the room.

The 60-day framework

Apply to 5+ tailored roles per week. Do a daily standup with Claude every morning. Track every application. Follow up on everything. Iterate every single week based on what's actually working.
